In 100% speedruns, the [[Boost Ball]] is used while on the [[Spider Ball]] tracks to skip most of the climb to the item. By boosting upwards, Samus will no longer be inside the trigger that prevents her from unmorphing. After unmorphing, she can then easily use [[Screw Attack]] to get to the item.
