The Varialess Magmoor Run, or VMR, is the name given to the act of navigating the [heated] rooms in Magmoor Caverns. Previously thought to be only for randomizer or novelty purposes, the VMR has been theorized to save time in 100%.

[https://m2k2.taigaforum.com/post/the_biggest_sequence_break_you_could_ever_dream_of.html April 2nd, 2004] -  [Ice Beam Before Flaahgra] discovered by runner Flamancipator. This allowed for a 4th energy tank to be collected.

[https://m2k2.taigaforum.com/post/3_tank_vmr.html July 7th, 2005] - Runner smilingjack13 completes the 3 Tank VMR. At the time, the use of [Secret Worlds] was banned. This completion of the VMR was significant because it proved that you didn't need to go out of bounds at any point to skip Varia Suit.
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlhD7Qixfj4 March 26th, 2016] - TASer FusionVaria completed the 2 Tank VMR TAS. This was a proof of concept made using savestates and slowdowns. A 2 Tank VMR has yet to be completed under RTA conditions.
