Disc Version Meaning

Where the version string is located

A Gamecube disc will have version identifier printed on the inner border of the disc next to the data section. This identifier will describe the platform (DOL), the Game ID, the version, and the region the disc was printed in.

The region the disc was printed in does not matter when identifying the game version.

Example: DOL-GM8E-0-00 USA and DOL-GM8E-0-00 JPN are the same version of the game.
