Bomb Jumps in the Regular Bomb Jump Family use shared timings between both Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. They are possible in both games with the exception of the Quadruple Bomb Jump. These Bomb Jumps can also be combined with Instant Unmorphing to achieve a Bomb Space Jump variation of each Bomb Jump.
Single Bomb Jump
This Bomb Jump is performed by laying a single bomb and getting hit by it.

Two Bomb Jump
This Bomb Jump is performed by laying 2 bombs roughly 20 frames apart or 1/3rd second. The first bomb will bounce Samus up into the air where she will fall back down onto a second bomb, hitting it while mid-air.

Three Bomb Jump
This Bomb Jump is performed by laying 3 bombs roughly 20 frames apart from each other or 1/3rd second each. The first bomb will bounce Samus up into the air where she will fall back down onto a second bomb, hitting it while mid-air. This will then be repeated for the second and third bombs.

Double Bomb Jump
The double bomb jump is actually one of the only bomb jumps which is intended by developers, as it is required in a few puzzles and shown in some of the attract demos.
To perform a double bomb jump, place a bomb on the ground. Shortly before it explodes (a visual cue is almost immediately after the bomb animation disappears completely before exploding), lay your second bomb. Bomb 1 will explode and at the peak of your jump, but before you start descending, lay your final bomb. The second one you laid explode pushing you up, and then the final one you laid will hit you in midair.

Laddered Double Bomb Jump
To performed a laddered double bomb jump, do this process, but add some lateral movement into it. A basic explanation of inputs is holding the control stick forward slightly before the first bomb explodes, and then holding back after you place the final one and keep holding back for a short moment after landing. Once landed, roll backward a short distance and then roll forward (or in whatever direction you were jumping toward) as much as possible to hit the second bomb you placed. Keep holding forward the rest of the jump.
Spring Bomb Jump
With the introduction of the wii remote, a new mechanic called Spring Ball is introduced. This gives Samus a propulsion into the air from the ground without the need for a bomb and is enabled by Morph Ball Bomb when it is acquired. Bomb Jumps in these games can be replaced with Spring Ball. For a Double Bomb Jump using Spring Ball, flick the Wii Remote upwards to use Spring Ball and lay a Bomb at the peak, then use Spring Ball again before the Bomb explodes to gain the extra height from the bomb.

Three Frame Bomb Jump
To perform a Three Frame Bomb Jump, simply place two bombs within 2 or 3 frames apart of each other to achieve a significantly higher bomb jump than a single bomb.
