Main Energy Controller is a room in the Great Temple in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. It is the room where Samus meets U-Mos, who gives you the Violet Translator early on in the game and Light Suit once you've returned the energy in Sanctuary Fortress. In the natural route, you're supposed to return to this room several times over the course of the game to advance the story, but in any% speedruns, it is only used to gain access to the Light Suit.
Curiously, this room has a connection to the Sky Temple using one of its docks. However, there is no known way to activate the Dock that leads to this part of the game, as it is used to allow Samus to fast travel. Above this dock is another dock way above it that is not connected to anything. It can crash the game if the game detects that Samus is interacting with it.
General Overview
Depending on what happens in certain rooms, it is possible to get certain effects in this room that are not intended. For example, when the room is loaded for the first time, it will have the trigger that pulls you into the sequence that gives you Violet Translator. But if you've already returned the Sanctuary Energy before doing this, it will also have the trigger for the sequence that gives you Light Suit, allowing you to get both items in a very short amount of time. Less useful, but still noteworthy, is the possibility of having multiple lines of text appearing at once in the dialogue boxes, making them harder to read.
There are multiple variants of this room that are connected to each of the 3 energy controllers in Agon, Torvus, and Sanctuary. These are not identical to the room in Great Temple, instead being cutscene-only variants that are limited in their functionality. These clones of the room have solid collision, but otherwise can't be interacted with to create any useful effect.
Secret World
There are multiple holes on the upper structure of the room, allowing you to go out of bounds. It is possible to stand on U-Mos in order to get to the upper part, at which point it's only a matter of walking into one of the holes. Some additional effort is required to get out once through any of the holes. You must navigate towards the end of the room that has the door to Controller Transport. Using the Morph Ball and laying bombs is necessary, as once through the hole there's virtually no standable collision. Once there, you will be able to go anywhere you want.
