A bomb space jump (BSJ) is a bomb jumping technique used in Metroid Prime to gain additional height which is not normally possible otherwise. To perform a bomb space jump, you have to find an area which will enable you to get an instant unmorph with the 3rd person Morph Ball camera. Some ways of doing this include pulling the Morph Ball back toward a wall during a bomb jump, and getting the camera wedged in an overhang.

There are several types of BSJ, including a single BSJ all the way up to a 3BSJ.

To perform a BSJ you need to set up the camera as stated before to provide an instant unmorph at some point in your bomb jump. Lay a bomb (or series of bombs) and let them hit Samus in Morph Ball. Hit X to unmorph Samus 21 frames (or earlier) and immediately press B after unmorphing to perform a jump while in midair. You can do a full Space Jump from this, if you have it.

One notable trick that requires the bomb space jumps is Elevator Access A, which is the first shaft in spiderless shafts.
