Connecting Rooms
Connection Elevator to Deck Beta
Great Tree Hall

Hydro Access Tunnel is a room located in the Tallon Overworld region of Metroid Prime. It is the room that connects the far region of Tallon Overworld with the Crashed Frigate. It contains an Energy Tank.

Without Gravity Suit

This room behaves differently if Samus doesn't have the Gravity Suit. Instead of the water pumps in the room causing Samus to float with the help of her Morph Ball Bombs, she will be pushed directly upwards, creating a problem. Navigating through this room without Gravity Suit requires the Boost Ball, as it allows for Samus to go downwards. This can be done both to and from Great Tree Hall, but more boosting is required if doing this from Great Tree Hall.

Out of Bounds Method (Floaty)

The door connecting to Connection Elevator to Deck Beta can increase Samus' fluid counter value by 1 if transitioned in a particular way. By doing this multiple times, the counter will eventually overlap to 0, allowing for normal physics inside the water. After doing this, if a Ceiling Warp is performed into Hydro Access Tunnel, Samus will keep these physics after transitioning and will be able to get the item and progress through the room as if she had Gravity Suit.
