Acquiring the Ice Beam item in this room disables layer "Beetles" in Frigate Crash Site, and also enables layer "Flying Pirates" in that room.
Bypassing the Ice Beam Door
This trick requires that you enter the room from out of bounds while the game thinks Samus is in Reflecting Pool. By ceiling warping in, it may be possible to collect the item and leave even without Ice Beam. This is done by shooting a charged Power Beam shot near the surface of the door. Because the game thinks Samus is in Reflecting Pool, the damage trigger that activates the door from the outside is functional, meaning that as long as Samus doesn't properly transition inside Antechamber, the game will register that the other side of the door has been interacted with and will freely open.
