Landing Site is a room in the Tallon Overworld region of Metroid Prime. It is the first room Samus enters following the escape sequence in the Space Pirate Frigate. It also contains a missile expansion.
Space Jump First
Space Jump First is one of the most important tricks in the game, as it allows for the first few areas of the run to be sped up dramatically. Obtaining Space Jump immediately opens up a ton of movement options right from the get-go and opens up a ton of routing options and sequence breaks. It is possible to do this trick from either side of the ship.
R-Dash
This method is slightly faster than the other one as you can dash to the ledge without moving at all and keep the lock on. Lock onto the Sac by the door that leads to Artifact Temple, then dash, hold down, and hold R. make sure your inputs are done quickly. Once on the ledge, you can do more dashes at the top to save some time or simply jump across to collect Space Jump.
Sap Sac Dash
For this method, simply walk to the rear of the ship and do a dash off of the Sap Sac. Release the control stick once you release L. This method is done if you have a version of the game that doesn't allow for Scan Dashing, such as 0-02 or PAL.
Left Side
A much harder, albeit much faster, method of Space Jump First involves using the left side.
"Glitchless"
This variant of SJF doesn't involve performing a Scan Dash.

Ship Dash
You can dash from the ship all the way to the door near Artifact Temple. To do this, exit your ship and lock onto the piece of grass on the left of your ship. Start a dash and bend it upwards, while pressing R as soon as possible. Press and hold L for the second jump and release L like a normal L-Jump. Be sure to hold up the entire time. You can continue holding R if you wish. Just as long as you press it almost immediately it will not matter.
It is important to note that your B press is very important for this dash. Make sure you tap it for as little frames as possible.
Secret World
- Go to the door toward the Artifact Temple. Morph, and perform a 2BSJ to clear the wall to your left.
- This was secret world #24 in the original numbering scheme.
