Exo Skip is a wallcrawl in Impact Crater which is used in speedruns in order to skip the Exo boss fight. The wallcrawl starts with a Secret World in Crater Tunnel B that involves positioning a Fission Metroid from Phazon Core into a precise spot where it can reposition Samus out of bounds while she is in Morph Ball mode. It can be done in every category which doesn't ban out of bounds, including 100% and Low%. Depending on the category, the time save of Exo Skip varies, saving the least time in 100% and the most time in Low%. Regardless of the category, Exo Skip saves at least 1 minute in speedruns, if not more.

Due to the difficulty of this wallcrawl, it is only recommended for experienced runners. Without a solid grasp of this wallcrawl, it is easy to lose all of the time that it saves, so lots of practice is recommended before attempting to incorporate this into runs. Additionally, there is the potential to softlock in Phazon Infusion Chamber by hitting a trigger in front of the area to transition into Subchamber One, ending the run for good.
