Twin Fires

Twin Fires Tunnel is a room in the Magmoor Caverns region of Metroid Prime. It is the barrier between Samus and the back end of Magmoor Caverns, which houses Plasma Beam and the entrances to Far Phendrana and Lower Mines. Beyond this room, none of Magmoor will have heat damage properties, so Samus won't be damaged from not having the Varia Suit upon entering Twin Fires.

Without Spider Ball

In all categories, Samus will need to traverse this room without Spider Ball. There are a multitude of methods to achieve this, as well as a backup that can be used if a runner fails any of these methods.

TODO: Descriptions/videos for all below methods

Scan Dash Method

The side of the room has some standable terrain that can be used to prepare a Scan Dash. The dash needs to be performed off of the Spider track. This is considered the easiest way to bypass the Spider track, as it does not require advanced levels of precision to perform. However, it is also the slowest method, so it is only recommended for newer runners who haven't mastered R-Jumping yet. It is also possible to do this method without the Space Jump Boots, as demonstrated below.

R-Jump Method

The R-Jump method uses the same standable terrain as the Scan Dash method.
